Halloween 2011

We really had fun celebrating Halloween this year.  Tyler decided to be Mairo (no surprise) and Miss Hailey was Ariel from the Little Mermaid.  We took a few photos in the house before heading out for trick or treating in our neighborhood. This was the first year that the kids were actually running from house to house because they were so excited to get treats.

Tyler and Hailey were showing a little love in this photo.

I asked them to give me a big smile for the camera.

This is Tyler's favorite way to smile for the camera.

Tyler's 4th Birthday Party

It's hard to believe that my baby boy turned 4 this year.  We celebrated his 4th birthday by having a party with friends and family at my work.  Tyler decided to have a Mario theme party so we played Mario hot potato, broke a mario pinata, then sat down to make some Halloween masks.  Tyler was thrilled that we had such a good turnout and that all his friends and family could be part of his special day.

We were thrilled that Tyler's friend Christina from Preschool was able to attend the party.

Tyler is really enjoying his Mario cupcakes.

Christina is being silly just like Tyler.

Christina and Tyler were racing to the finish line.

Little Ben was having a blast playing with balloons.

Tyler was pretty excited that Mom and Dad found a Mario pinata.

Tyler's awesome cake included both Mario and Luigi.

Tyler says, "yeah...this is my party."

We decided to go with a string pinata rather than the traditional pinata, so much safer!

We saved a few gifts for Tyler to open on his actual birthday at home.

It didn't take Tyler long to open up all the gifts.

Maddie and Maura's Birthday Party

Hailey and I drove to Philadelphia with my mom and dad to celebrate Maddie and Maura's birthday on Sunday.  Maddie is now 6 years old and Maura is turning 4.  Hailey was so excited to spend time with her cousins.  We got there a few hours before the party so the girls could catch up and enjoy some quality time together before all the guests arrived. Hailey was very sad when we had to leave.  I sure wish we lived closer to my brother and his family but I assured her that we would see them again soon.

Decorating Pumpkins

Tyler and Hailey decided to go with a Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head theme for their pumpkins.  Hailey found a princess kit and Tyler found a pirate kit.  Mommy and daddy were very pleased that we didn't have to clean out any pumpkins so the mess was very minimal but the kids still had a great time decorating the pumpkins.

Tyler is trying to be a look alike but can't keep his one eye closed.

What a cute couple!

Pumpkin Patch

The kids and I enjoyed a fun filled day picking pumpkins at Harner's Farm on Saturday afternoon.  First, we carefully selected the perfect pumpkin to take home to decorate, then we enjoyed some delicious ice cream.  The kids were very excited to see all the decorations they had set up for Halloween.  After taking a few photos, we headed to Walmart to get some supplies to decorate the pumpkins.

Tyler and Hailey enjoyed posing as a black cat and cute little pumpkin.

Ty couldn't decide what pumpkin to choose.

It was a bright and sunny day at the pumpkin patch.

It was fun to see how much the kids have grown.

Tyler enjoyed a dish of chocolate ice cream.

Hailey's favorite ice cream is chocolate too!

Tyler is growing up so fast!
